Seasonal cocktails to celebrate the season!

GINGERBREAD MARTINI

Stir together 2 tablespoons ginger liqueur, 2 tablespoons vanilla-citrus liqueur, 1 1/2 tablespoons coffee-flavored rum, 1 tablespoon honey, and 2 teaspoons of cream in a cocktail shaker. Add 1 cup ice cubes, cover with a lid and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Strain into a martini glass.

SPICED EGGNOG

eggnogg

4 egg yolks

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups milk

2 whole cloves

pinch of ground cinnamon

1 cup cream

1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons bourbon

Beat egg yolks in a large bowl until thick and pale. Gradually beat in sugar until blended. Stir together milk, cloves and cinnamon in a 4-quart saucepan. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly 8 to 10 minutes.

Gradually stir in half of hot milk mixture into egg mixture. Stir egg mixture into remaining hot milk mixture in pan. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, 7 to 8 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and stir in cream. Pour mixture through a fine strainer. Let cool 1 hour. Stir in nutmeg, vanilla and bourbon. Chill 1 hour.
